MONMOUTH, Ore.
- Chris Reed will represent Western Oregon University and the Wolves' cross country programs at the NCAA National Cross Country Championships, Saturday, Nov. 21, in Evansville, Ind.

Reed, a junior from Klamath, Ore. (Klamath Union), is the first-ever Western Oregon student-athlete to compete in the national cross country championships at the Division II level. He earned his place in the championships by placing eighth and was the top finisher from a non-qualifying team at the NCAA West Regional.

"This is a credit to his training and the racing culture at Western Oregon, which is aimed at successful competition at the national level," said Wolves' head coach Mike Johnson. "His performance will benefit this entire program."

The men's 10k race will be held at the University of Southern Indiana Cross Country course and will begin at 1:00 p.m. CST or 11:00 a.m., PST
