Seahawks honor softball moment

MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Seattle Seahawks will be recognizing Western Oregon University's Sara Tucholsky and Central Washington University's Liz Wallace and Mallory Holtman as part of its 12th MAN flag ceremony this Saturday (Aug. 22) in a preseason game against the Denver Broncos.

Footage of the famous sportsmanship moment which was featured on ESPN and during the ESPY Awards will be shown on the Jumbotron videoboard at Qwest Field.

During the preseason NFL game there will also be a PA spot to promote the Battle in Seattle football game between Western Oregon and Central Washington which will be held Oct. 17 at Qwest Field.

Tyler  Sutherland
Softball
Tyler Sutherland went 6-for-13 with two doubles, two home runs, four RBI and five runs to help Western Oregon take three of four games from Montana State Billings.
Cesar Lopez
Baseball
Lopez had seven hits, including a double and two home runs, to lead the eight-time defending conference champion Wolves to three wins in four games in their conference opening series at NNU.

2007-08 All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference sports trophy.

Men's and women's track and field teams win 2008 GNAC outdoor championships.

Baseball wins ninth consecutive conference championship.

Volleyball wins first GNAC championship (2008).

Men's track and field team wins second consecutive GNAC indoor championship (2009).
