SEATTLE
- Chris Reed ran a Western Oregon University school-record time of 14:32.66 in the men's 5000m to earn an NCAA provisional qualifying standard, Friday (Feb. 12), at the Husky Classic.

Reed's time in the event shattered the previous Wolves' school-record of 14:48.40 which was set last season by Zeke Van Patten. It also propelled the junior from Klamath Falls, Ore. (Klamath Union High School) into second place on the 2010 Great Northwest Athletic Conference performance list and topped his personal-best time by over 19 seconds (14:51.23).

Reed was the only student-athlete to compete for the Western Oregon University track & field team Friday. The rest of the Wolves will be competing Saturday (Feb. 13) at the final day of the Husky Classic and Sunday (Feb. 14) at the UW Open.
