EUGENE, Ore.
- Five individuals from the Western Oregon track & field team broke into the school record books with career-best marks Saturday (Mar. 20), at the Oregon Preview.

Sophomore Ashley Potter leaped to fourth place on the Wolves' all-time top 10 list with a mark of 37-9.50 (11.52m) in the women's triple jump. She set her personal-best record on her very first jump of the day and finished second in the event. The jump also moved her to second on the 2010 Great Northwest Athletic Conference performance list.

Matt Kaino also moved into second on the GNAC performance list with a time of 48.30 in the men's 400m dash. His time placed this freshman fifth in Western Oregon history, as he won the event at the Oregon Preview by .48 seconds.

Freshman Connor Kasler now owns the fifth place mark in the 800m in Western Oregon history in both indoor and outdoor track. He ran a time of 1:53.58 to place sixth in the event at the Oregon Preview. That time also placed him third on the GNAC performance list and was .58 seconds off an NCAA provisional standard.

Chris Reed registered a time of 3:53.58 in the men's 1500m to climb to seventh place on the Wolves' all-time top 10 list. That time moved him into third place in the GNAC this season and is just .58 seconds off the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.

Kaitlyn Reid improved her season-best time to 1:04.53 in the 400m hurdles to ascend to seventh place in the WOU record books. She stands third on the GNAC performance list.

The women's 4x100m relay team of Stefani Dittmar, McKenzie Redberg, Carolanne Powers and Lacey Meusec posted a time of 48.70 to grab the top spot in the GNAC this outdoor season.

Matson Hardie also placed his name atop the GNAC performance list with a leap of 45-4.5 (13.83m) in the men's triple jump.

Jason Slowey now owns the top spots in the GNAC this season in both the shot put and the discus throw. He recorded a toss of 155-1 (47.26m) in the discus Saturday to take the conference lead by over two-and-a-half feet. His mark of 49-10 (15.19m) in the shot put at the Willamette Opener still stands as the best throw conference this season.

The Wolves' track & field squad will be at the Stanford Invite next weekend (Mar. 26-27) as the outdoor season continues.
