Torland earns first team All-GNAC
MONMOUTH, Ore. - Katie Torland has been named first team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season, by the conference coaches.

Torland, a senior forward from Burns, Ore. (Burns High School), ranked in the top 10 in the GNAC in points (third, 16.1), rebounds (seventh, 6.9), free throw percentage (sixth, 82.0), three-pointers per game (third, 1.9), three-point percentage (10th, 39.3) and minutes played (seventh, 31.3). Torland also set the GNAC record this season for free throws made (16) and free throws attempted (20) in a single game, while leading the league with 132 total free throws converted.

Torland was one of two repeaters from last year's All-GNAC first team and is the first Wolf since Leada Berkey (2006-07 & 2007-08) to earn back-to-back first team all-conference honors.

Torland also excelled in the classroom this year, en route to earning her first GNAC All-Academic honor with a 3.26 GPA as an Exercise Science major and a Health minor.
