WALNUT, Calif. -
Chris Reed set a Western Oregon record and ran the third fastest time in the history of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in the 10k with a mark of 29:52.39, at the Mt. SAC Relays, Thursday, Apr. 15.
He won his section at the meet and earned an NCAA provisional qualifying standard. His mark also placed him sixth on the 2010 NCAA performance list.
"It was a huge mark for him," explained Western Oregon head coach
Mike Johnson. "This was a good way (for our team) to start the meet but we still have a lot of work to do."
The Mt. SAC Relays will continue Friday, Apr. 16.
