MONMOUTH, Ore. - Jason Moseby of the Western Oregon University baseball team has been voted to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 8 First Team for the first time in his career.

The senior outfielder from Bellevue, Wash. (Newport High School/Bellevue CC) has posted a 3.92 cumulative GPA in his two years at Western Oregon University as a Public Administration major.

Moseby was the only member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference represented on the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine academic team, and one of just two from the NCAA Division II West Region.

In addition to being a standout in the classroom, Moseby has also excelled on the field. He is currently third in the league in batting average (.367), doubles (16) and on-base percentage (.450). He is also tied for third in home runs (seven) and is second in slugging percentage (.619), while batting in the third spot in the order for the Wolves.

Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 in both undergrad and graduate work. Nominees must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at your institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one academic year at your institution.
