SALEM, Ore. – Discounted football tickets to the Western Oregon University home opener against Simon Fraser on Sept. 18, 2010 will be available at the Oregon State Fair as part of College Athletics Day, the athletic department announced on Wednesday. General admission tickets will be sold for the home opener at a price of $8 per ticket, 20 percent off the regular price, and are available to the first 100 fans.

Western Oregon's booth will be located in the Sports and Recreation area at the fair and will be staffed all day. Fans can also pick up schedule cards, season ticket information and receive special giveaways at the booth as well as have a chance to meet and greet staff members and cheerleaders.

Western Oregon football opens its 2010 season on the road on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 4:00 p.m. against Simon Fraser in Burnaby, B.C. Season tickets for football are still on sale and can be purchased at the booth or by contacting Michael Feuling at 503-838-8449 or by email at feulingm@wou.edu.
