STANFORD, Calif.
Chris Reed continues to etch his name atop the Western Oregon track & field record books.

The senior's latest feat was registering a time of 14:21.14 among elite competition at the Stanford Invitational to spring to the top Wolves' record book and into fourth place in Great Northwest Athletic Conference history in the 5,000 meter run.

“This was the first distance race for Chris since cross country,” explained Western Oregon head coach Mike Johnson. “We have been working hard and this is what you get.”

Reed now owns the Western Oregon outdoor record in the 5k and the 10k, along with the indoor record in the mile and the 5k. Reed is also a member of WOU's record breaking and All-American indoor distance medley relay team.

Up the road at the SFSU Distance Carnival, Western Oregon saw another pair of runners make movement on the school's all-time top 10 list.
