WALNUT, Calif. – Chris Reed of the Western Oregon University track & field team ran a 29:44.77 in the men's 10k, Thursday (Apr. 14), at the Mt. SAC Relays to earn his third NCAA provisional qualifying standard of the 2011 outdoor season.

Reed now owns NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the 1,500 meter and the 5k to go along with his mark in the 10k. His time moved him third in the country this season and second in GNAC history. It also improved his school record by 7.62 seconds.

Reed finished sixth in the men's open 10k race.

The Mt. SAC Relays will continue on Friday and Saturday.
