[Regional Poll] [Event-by-event rankings]

MONMOUTH, Ore.
- The Western Oregon men's track & field team has made the jump to No. 2 in the USTFCCCA West Region poll, which was released Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The men climbed two spots and 48 points in this week's poll to leap fellow Great Northwest Athletic Conference opponents Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene. Ryan Hansen (800m) and the men's distance medley relay team helped lead the way for the Wolves as both have the top times in the West Region this season.

On the women's side, Western Oregon is ranked ninth with 114.6 points. Janelle Everetts paces the West in the 800m with a time of 2:13.7.

This is the second season the USTFCCCA has adopted this new form of regional rankings. It is based on the idea of having a meet with all teams in the region and how each team would score in this meet format. This was meant to be a determination of the total strength of a team and not just those that would score at the national meet.

This week the Wolves track & field teams will compete in the GNAC Indoor Championships Feb. 17-18 in Nampa, Idaho. The men will be looking for their fifth straight indoor title.
