MONMOUTH, Ore. – Bo Folkinga of the Western Oregon University baseball team has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Mar. 19-25.

Folkinga, a senior first baseman from Twin Falls, Idaho (Twin Falls HS), had nine hits in 15 at bats and drove in 11 runs as the Wolves won three of four games with Central Washington. Among Folkinga's hits were four doubles and two home runs. Folkinga now leads the GNAC in doubles (11) and runs batted in (31).

Folkinga and the rest of the Western Oregon baseball team are now preparing to host Saint Martin's on Mar. 31-Apr. 1. Saturday's game will start at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday's first pitch will be at Noon.
