MONMOUTH, Ore. - Landon Burningham has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Outstanding Male Newcomer of the Year.

The senior from Sandy, Utah (Alta HS) placed second at the GNAC Outdoor Championships in the 400m with a time of 48.50. He won his qualifying heat with a season-best time of 48.43. He also helped the Wolves' 4x400m relay team place second in the championships with a time of 3:16.29. Burningham ranks sixth in Western Oregon history in the 400m with his time of 48.43.
