2013 GNAC INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS - MEET PROGRAM

2013 GNAC INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - PERFORMANCE LIST

MONMOUTH, Ore. –
The Western Oregon men's and women's track and field teams return to action this week as the Wolves travel to Nampa, Idaho, for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16. The WOU men's squad will be looking to claim its sixth-straight indoor title and seventh overall.

“We're really looking forward to the challenge,” head coach Mike Johnson said. “We've had some solid performances from the men and women this season and we hope to have a strong showing at the conference meet. The men's championship will be extremely competitive this year; so, every point will be important.”

On the men's side, Brett Campbell (60-meter hurdles) and Matson Hardie (triple jump) look to defend their individual conference titles from a year ago. In addition to his triple jump title, Hardie also won the long jump in 2010, setting a conference and meet record with a leap of 23-8. The junior ranks 16th on the conference all-time point list with 41.5 points and is one of two GNAC-record holders in the field.

For the women, WOU's Madison McClung returns and looks to defend her individual title in the 200-meters. The sprinter is coming off of an injury and is seeded ninth after running a 26.22 in the event earlier this season. The WOU women finished third a year ago.

The Wolves have two athletes seeded first in there events as Alexis Anderson enters as the favorite to win the women's triple jump while Hardie is the top-seed in the long jump and triple jump.

Events at the Idaho Sports Center will begin at 4:15 p.m. on Friday with finals in a number of field events with running events slated to start at 5:50 p.m. On Saturday, field events begin at 10:00 a.m. while running events open at 11:20 a.m.

Following the GNAC meet, WOU will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 23, when the Wolves will send a small contingent to Seattle, Wash., for the Seattle Pacific Last Chance Qualifier.
