GNAC INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS - COMPLETE RESULTS

NAMPA, Idaho –
The Western Oregon track and field teams picked up four individual titles on the final day of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday as the men's team earned a third-place finish while the women's squad finished in sixth-place.

"I thought it was a really strong effort overall," head coach Mike Johnson said. "I know our men's team really wanted to win the team title; but, they gave it their all and we really had some good results. Our women's team had a strong showing as well considering we did not have as many athletes entered in the field as some past years."

Alexis Anderson highlighted the action on Saturday for WOU as the freshman captured a pair of individual titles. Anderson won the triple jump with a leap of 37-10.5 and followed with a victory in the high jump after a leap of 5-05.75.

On the men's side, Ryan Hansen and Matson Hardie captured individual titles as the Wolves finished just behind Alaska Anchorage for second place in the team race. Hansen led a one-two finish for WOU in the 800-metets as he finished in a time of 1:53.27 to capture the individual title. The Wolves' Chris Olsen was just behind in the event, finishing in a time of 1:53.54.

Hardie captured his fourth career individual conference title as the junior won the triple jump with a leap of 48-01.5. WOU's Jake Hyde also scored in the event as he finished in seventh-place with a jump of 43-08.5.

In other women's highlights, Madison McClung finished third in the 60-meters with a time of 7.91 while Rebecca Laible earned a third-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 36-05.75. Emmi Collier picked up a third-place finish for the Wolves in the shot put with a toss of 42-06.00.

In the men's mile, Zeke Wilson had a strong showing for WOU, finishing in fourth-place with a time of 4:15.85. Other men's highlights included Harrison Leep finishing in second-place in the 400-meters with a time of 49.69.3 as Brett Campbell (3rd, 8.40) and Kody Rhodes (4th, 8.40) finished three-four in the 60-meter hurdles.
