MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon senior shortstop Blake Miller picked up a pair of national honors on Wednesday as he was named honorable mention All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Daktronics, Inc.

The awards are the latest in a series of honors as the shortstop was previously named first-team all-region by the NCBWA, Daktronics and American Baseball Coaches Association. Miller was also named West Region Player of the Year by Daktronics and was a first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection.

Miller earns the honors after ranking near the top of every batting category in the GNAC. The senior ranked second in the conference with a .372 batting average while leading the league in hits (74), runs scored (52), doubles (18) and on-base percentage (.457).

It marks the second consecutive year Miller has been named to an All-American squad after he was a unanimous, first-team selection as a junior.

Miller helped lead WOU to a 34-20 record this past season as the Wolves captured their 12th-straight GNAC title with a 24-8 league mark.
