FULL SPU FINAL QUALIFIER RESULTS
 
SEATTLE – Going for one last chance in numerous events, a select group of Wolves returned to Seattle for the SPU Final Qualifier at Dempsey Indoor.
 
Three school records went down on the men's side while seven provisional qualifying mark were hit during the event Saturday.
 
Badane Sultessa improved on his school and Great Northwest Athletic Conference record with a time of 1:49.68 in the 800 meters. In the same race, a 1:53.08 from Josh Dempsey was a personal best and put him ninth on the WOU all-time record list.
 
In the mile, David Ribich won his race in a school record time of 4:05.21, besting his own record by two seconds.
 
Kaleb Dobson nabbed a school record in the 60-meter hurdles during his qualifying heat. His time of 8.25 is an NCAA provisional mark.
 
Aaron Whitaker ran the second fastest time on record at WOU in the 400-meter contest at 49.09.
 
On the women's side, Suzanne Van De Grift ran the fourth fastest 800-meter time in school history at 2:15.09, another NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Two milers, Nicole Maurmann and Stephanie Stuckey, finished fourth and fifth in their race. Maurmann ran a personal best of 4:58.10.
 
The Wolves will now wait to hear for selections to the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships to be held in Pittsburg, Kan. From March 11-12.
