FULL SPU FINAL QUALIFIER RESULTS (TFRRS)
SEATTLE – Western Oregon track & field concluded their indoor regular season this afternoon with the Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier at Dempsey Indoor.

Six NCAA provisional marks were hit during the meet, with three coming in the women's 800 meters. Sophomore
Olivia Woods won the event in a time of 2:10.14, a personal best and new WOU school record, just before junior Suzanna Van De Grift improved on what was her record with a time of 2:10.57. Junior
Megan Rose grabbed a spot in the WOU top-10 with a personal indoor best 2:13.18.

Junior distance runner
Kennedy Rufener grabbed the final women's provisional mark of the meet and moved into third all-time in the WOU record books with a mile time of 4:57.01.

On the men's side, sophomore
Dustin Nading won in the mile with a provisional qualifying time of 4:05.22, the second best WOU time just ahead of current WOU assistant coach
Brady Beagley. Junior
Josh Dempsey finished third overall in the men's 800 at 1:50.94.

Senior
Aaron Whitaker won in the 400 at 49.50 and freshman Harry White took the top spot in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.93 seconds.

In field events, freshman
Alani Troutman took second in the long jump with a mark of 6.91m (22-8) while Kolton Koenig-Rhode and
Jalon Fields finished third and fourth respectively in the triple jump. Â

With the regular season concluded, Western Oregon now shifts their focus to the 2017 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 10-11 in Birmingham, Ala.
