>>> COMPLETE RESULTS

SEATTLE—
With three more milers going under 4:20 and another posting a provisional qualifier in the 3,000, the Western Oregon middle distance corps continued its strong start to the season at the Husky Open on Sunday.

Tyler Jones registered an NCAA DII provisional qualifier in the 3,000-meter run with a time 8:21.20. Jones placed fourth overall in the event and is now the third WOU runner to earn a qualifier in the event this season.

In the mile, Justin Crosswhite and Parker Marson placed first and second in their section with times of 4:15.02 and 4:16.48. Crosswhite's time slashed more than two seconds off his former collegiate best of 4:17.93 while Marson's effort was his first attempt at the indoor distance.

In addition, Stephen Fey posted a time of 4:19.70 to give WOU six of the top eight times in the GNAC so far this season.

In the women's mile, Nicole Maurmann crossed with a season-best time of 5:04.40 to move up to No. 6 in the GNAC.

Devon Fortier and Grayson Burke headlined the sprinting contingent with Fortier matching a season-best in the men's 60-meter dash by topping out at 7.09 while Burke completed the women's 400 in 58.65 for the GNAC's No. 6 time so far this season. Burke's time was just shy of her 58.42 career best set during last year's outdoor season.

In the throws, Nick Sieber had a career day with a pair of two-foot personal records. Sieber was measured with a 47-3 (14.40m) in the shot put to better his former season best of 45-8 and cracked a 50-8 1/4 (15.45m) in the weight throw for his first 50-foot toss. Logan Barker also landed a career best in the weight throw with a 46-5 1/4 (14.15m).
