STANFORD, Calif.—Notching career best in their respective events, Western Oregon track & field members Dustin Nading and Alani Troutman posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks while competing at the Stanford Invitational on Friday.

Nading, fresh off a NCAA DII national indoor title in the mile, crossed the lone with a personal best time of 3:45.91 in the 1,500-meter run. Nading placed second overall in the second section and shaved more than a full second off his previous lifetime best in the distance. The time is currently ranked No. 4 in NCAA DII.

Running in the fourth section of the 1,500, Josh Dempsey placed fifth with a 3:48.83.

In the long jump, Alani Troutman soared 24-3 1/2 (7.40m) to place second overall behind Stanford's Jaak Uudmae. The distance added more than five inches to Troutman's lifetime best while moving into a tie for No. 6 on the NCAA DII performance list.

Darian Wilson highlighted action across town at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival with a personal best in the long jump with a meet-winning 18-3 (5.56m). The distance narrowly missing the provisional qualifying standard while moving the freshman into the No. 9 position on WOU's all-time outdoor performance list.
